Safeguarding the Greater Bay Area Water Diversion Project: Qingdao Huashida Delivers Drinking-Water-Grade Anti-Corrosion Pipe Coating Equipment on Schedule for National Day
10 23, 2026

Qingdao Huashida Machine Co., Ltd.

During the 2026 National Day holiday, the factory of Qingdao Huashida Machine Co., Ltd., a leading steel pipe anti-corrosion equipment manufacturer, never hit the “pause button.” Large trailer trucks loaded with components for DN6600 straight seam welded pipe internal FBE and external cement mortar spraying equipment rolled out of Huashida’s industrial park one after another, traveling thousands of kilometers to Guangdong to serve a large cross-regional water diversion project.

The project is vital to long-distance water transfer safety for the Greater Bay Area and the Pearl River Delta, and is key water infrastructure for the drinking water supply of multiple cities with populations in the millions. To protect the delivery milestones of this key public-welfare project, Huashida coordinated staff rotations, and its project task force pushed production and delivery forward throughout the holiday.

Reverse-Scheduled Timeline and Joint Mechanism for On-Time Delivery Once Huashida was confirmed in August as the anti-corrosion steel pipe production equipment supplier for the project, the company went into countdown mode. Design and R&D, precision component machining, part fitting, assembly, and testing were tightly interlinked.

To keep the project efficient, Huashida formed a joint working group with the project owner and partners, adopting daily progress reports and weekly review meetings, while accepting quality spot checks at any time to keep the project compliant and under control.

Strict Standards: No Compromise on Drinking Water Safety Drinking water safety is never a small matter. Huashida strictly followed the GB/T 23257 standard, and the internal FBE coating passed GB/T 17219 hygiene testing. Quality inspectors verified machining quality at every stage, ensuring the equipment met multiple national standards.

Starting September 24, the project entered a “produce and ship simultaneously” phase. During the holiday, the first batch of equipment arrived at the Guangdong site, where installation began in parallel, saving valuable time for full commissioning and formal production start-up.

“Major public-welfare projects don’t wait. On-time delivery is a company’s credibility and the bottom line of manufacturing,” said Huang Baodong, Chairman and General Manager.

Rotating Shifts, Parallel Orders at Home and Abroad The holiday rush extended well beyond Guangdong. In Huashida’s workshops, orders from customers in Uzbekistan, the UAE, and Guangzhou for high-speed 3PE steel pipe anti-corrosion coating lines and vacuum sizing pre-insulated pipe equipment advanced intensively, with every stage from design and material cutting to assembly and commissioning seamlessly connected.

Facing tight schedules, the company held to its principle of “no relaxed standards, no reduced details.” Production, technical, and workshop management teams worked on the front line, with quality inspectors patrolling throughout, crafting every set of pipeline equipment with precision.

From Shandong to the Greater Bay Area: Reliable Pipeline Equipment for Global Infrastructure From Shandong to the Greater Bay Area, and from key domestic projects to diverse overseas markets, Huashida continues to support water conservancy, oil and gas, and district heating infrastructure with reliable anti-corrosion and insulation pipe production equipment. By delivering on time, Huashida records not only production progress but also the commitment of a Chinese manufacturer to quality and delivery.
