Qingdao Hushida Machinery Co., Ltd. has achieved independent innovation and upgrading to launch the 4th-generation PE/PP high-speed water-cooled double-wall corrugated pipe production line through in-depth R&D and continuous process optimization of pipeline equipment. Independently developed by Hushida, this high-efficiency and energy-saving unit features low energy consumption, high output, simple operation and perfect on-line expanding performance. Since its launch, the equipment has gained wide market recognition and high praise from domestic customers, as well as overseas clients from Russia, Egypt and other countries. 

As a core municipal pipe material, double-wall corrugated pipes are widely used in municipal renovation, construction projects, industrial and agricultural drainage, agricultural water-saving irrigation, sewage treatment and other fields. Manufactured with plastic particles via extrusion and shaping, the pipes feature a smooth inner wall and a corrugated outer wall with trapezoidal or circular wave structures. Thanks to its unique double-wall structure, the product boasts outstanding advantages including high ring stiffness, light weight, high pressure resistance, excellent toughness, superior corrosion and wear resistance, convenient construction, low installation cost and long service life. It has become an optimal alternative to traditional cement pipes and cast iron pipes.

 

Based on the cooling and shaping methods and operating efficiency of horizontal equipment, the industry has divided the technological iteration of double-wall corrugated pipe production lines into three generations. The first-generation mold air-cooling shaping technology was released in 2000. In 2004, the second-generation open water-spray cooling shaping technology was launched, adopting intermittent water cooling that only cools a 2-meter molding section of the molds. The third-generation linear reciprocating sealed pressure water-cooling shaping technology was introduced in 2009. Equipped with linear reciprocating cooling water circuits, this technology requires pipeline plugging and unplugging during mold replacement, and generates obvious impact during high-speed operation. Despite its improved production efficiency, it comes with relatively high energy consumption. 

Building on the third-generation industrial technology, Hushida made continuous technical breakthroughs and successfully developed and launched the 4th-generation double-wall corrugated pipe high-speed water-cooled production line in 2013. Adopting circumferential continuous sealed pressure water-cooling shaping technology for molds, the production line supports uninterrupted continuous water cooling with fixedly connected cooling pipelines. It thoroughly eliminates the defects of previous generations of equipment and achieves high efficiency and low energy consumption simultaneously. This innovative technology and process injects new momentum into the double-wall corrugated pipe manufacturing industry, effectively driving the technological upgrading and high-quality development of the whole sector.
