The vertical forming machine uses vertically opening and closing modules. It features a compact structure, small footprint, and easy installation. It is suitable for small and medium pipe diameters (DN110–DN800), limited pipe specifications, and workshops with limited space. However, mold changes and maintenance are relatively more difficult, especially for larger diameters.
The horizontal forming machine uses horizontally opening and closing modules, offering faster mold changes, easier maintenance, and more efficient cooling and vacuum system layouts. It is suitable for large-diameter pipes (typically DN800 and above), multiple specifications, frequent mold changes, and long-term stable mass production. However, it requires more workshop space and higher investment in equipment and infrastructure.
In short: For small/medium diameters, limited workshop space, and fewer specifications, choose the vertical type; for large diameters, multiple specifications, frequent mold changes, and long-term mass production, the horizontal type is generally more suitable.
