Huashida Launches the Deep Blue Series Pipeline Field Joint Robots
03 17, 2026

To address challenges in pipeline construction that are difficult to complete manually and to leverage the rapid development of AI technologies, Qingdao Huashida Machinery Co., Ltd. has developed the “Deep Blue” series pipeline field joint robots by utilizing the strong technical resources of its High-end Plastic Machinery Expert Workstation.

The series includes pipeline inner-wall inspection robots, sandblasting robots, anti-corrosion coating robots, and on-site rescue robots, enabling integrated operations such as weld seam positioning, sandblasting treatment, coating application, and quality inspection inside pipelines.

The robots are remotely controlled to enter the pipeline and use high-definition cameras to accurately locate weld seams. They perform sandblasting at high abrasive particle speeds, achieving Sa2.5–Sa3 surface cleanliness, followed by anti-corrosion coating operations. During the process, dust, impurities, and abrasives are collected and recycled, while real-time images from inside the pipeline are transmitted to an external monitoring terminal.

The Huashida Deep Blue series robots offer broad adaptability with multiple models suitable for different pipe diameters, including 8–48 inch pipelines and DN300–500 mm variable-diameter systems. They have already been successfully applied in long-distance oil and gas transmission pipelines and drinking water pipeline networks, providing efficient and intelligent solutions for modern pipeline construction.
